Unclaimed amount in mutual funds refers to money due to investors that remains with the AMC because redemption or IDCW (dividend) payments were not credited to the investor’s bank account. This may occur due to incorrect bank details or the investor not depositing the warrant. After 90 days, such unpaid amounts are invested in separate plans per regulatory guidelines.
The four plans where unclaimed amounts are invested:
Liquid Fund - Unclaimed Redemption Plan - Below 3 Years
Liquid Fund - Unclaimed IDCW Plan - Below 3 Years
Liquid Fund - Unclaimed Redemption Plan - Above 3 Years
Liquid Fund - Unclaimed IDCW Plan - Above 3 Years
Unclaimed Amount Plan(s) are launched for the limited purpose of deployment of unclaimed redemption and IDCW (dividend) amounts of the investors and will not be available for regular investments by investors or switches from existing plans/ schemes of the Fund.
Investor can identify their unclaimed folios through following ways:
Investor(s) can visit AMC website and click on the Unclaimed redemption/dividend tab. Enter PAN or Folio details which will be validated with RTA unclaimed database. If validated, Investor needs to enter any two security questions. Once all the details match, name and address of the investor will get populated which would indicate that the investor has an unclaimed amount lying with the AMC.
Investor(s) can call on toll-free number 1800 258 5678 between 9.30 AM to 6.00 PM and can obtain details after proper validation or visit in-person to any of the AMC / RTA service center to seek details of their unclaimed amount.Click here to locate your nearest service center.
